Farewell history,
It's been a beautiful illusion all this while;
Doubt not, for it's definitely not a mistake.
Regret?
No, never once when I looked back.
Held on to perhaps nothingness for far too long-
Too relunctant, still hopeful;
Cast into a boundless sea of sorrow,
Yes, the pain was that hard to bear.
Losing what had been so, so cherished;
The blow was just too great;
Flashbacks of every moment spent 24/7,
There wasn't a single time the reminiscene came to a halt;
Cause I swear,
You seriously meant a lot-
Even more than you'd ever realise.
Rain had been frequent then-
Silently shed,
Hidden in the darkness,
Kept close to the heart.
But it's all got to discontinue,
Like how there's always the sunshine after the rain;
The story has ended and that's that.
A rude awakening, it is;
Yet also the cold reality.
